From January 1990 to March 1992, 81 cases of microsurgical tubal reversal were investigated, which were performed at the infertility clinic in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Soonchunhyang University hospital. 74 cases were able to
follow
up more than 6 months among these 81 cases of tubal reversal patients.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1. The average age of patients was 32.7 (26-43) years, average number of living child at tuboplasty was 1.44 (0-3) and average interval from sterilization to tubal reversal was 64.1 (18-144) months.
2. The pregnancy rate was 81.1% in 74 cases of tubal reversal.
3. The reasons for the requesting tubal reversal were the change in attitude (44.4%), change in marital status (40.7%), death of child (14.9%).
4. After tubal reversal, mean age of the patients was 32.7 (26-43) years old, the mean age of pregnant patients was 31.6 (26-38) years old and that of nonpregnant patients was 34.5 (29-43) years old.
5. The average interval from the sterilization to tubal reversal was 56.3 (18-120) months in pregnancy group, 76.4 (39-144) months in nonpregnant group.
6. The mean length of postoperative tube was 6.7cm (7.3cm in pregnant group, 5.9cm in nonpregnant group).
7. Refering to the sterilization types, the most common sterilization type was coagulation, the pregnancy rate was 89.7% in Falopering, 80% in Pomeroy's, 75% in coagulation.
8. Referring to the site of anastomosis, the most common site of anastomosis was isthmico-isthmic, the pregnancy rate was 100% in ampullo-ampullary anastomosis group, 84.1% in isthmico-isthmic anastomosis group, 77.3% in isthmico-ampuallary
anastomosis
group, 75% in cornual-isthmic anastomosis group, 50% in cornual-ampullary anastomosis group.
9. Regering to the tubal length, the pregnancy rate was 50.0% in 3-5cm, 82.1% in 5-7cm, 91.7% in 7cm or more.
10. The pregnancy rate within the first year after tubal reversal was 95.0%, but no case after 2 years was noted.
11. The outcome of the 62 pregnancies after reversal was as follows: 50 case of fullterm delivery, 2 cases of spontaneous abortion, 2 cases of ectopic pregnancy, 8 cases of pregnancy in progress.
